with every ending...
...comes a new beginning. as we celebrate the end of the A levels - although for me and i suppose many of us, it had already ended last friday - and proceed on to days of free, absolutely carefree holidaying (for some, not so many days, for others, many many many days), let us first thank everyone who has helped bring me here, 18 years on! so first of all, my parents - although my mum never ceases to amaze me with the ridiculous amount of logic-less nagging about my computer usage, and my dad who can counter every argument i throw at him - a huge THANK YOU! i mean, i live in your house, and live off you! haha. thank your parents okay! ESPECIALLY XINGHAO! next up, all my friends in church - thanks for all the encouragement i get from you guys every sunday i go to church - you've upheld me in prayer and i'm sincerely grateful. whoops - can't forget all the teachers! so this goes to my pri sch and sec sch teachers (omg i can't rmb) and the wonderful bunch of teachers in CJC - ms tay, mr wee, mr yeong, mr ho x2, ms fan, 老大, mr tan - you've made learning quite alot more fun than i'd expected! another big THANK YOU! 2t18. the best class i have ever been in - no exaggeration - it's been an absolute blast being in the class! though we've contracted a (probably self-made) disease of stoning and wasting alot of time, it's given us alot of time to talk - and through talking we build strong bonds. you've inspired me to study, and no doubt has brought out the best in my studies (i do enjoy teaching (: , especially chem!) and people like brendon, darcie and jon motivate(read, SCARE) me into studying for my exams! i've truly enjoyed the 2 years (almost) we've spent together, all our celebrations, BATAM, eagles, and countless other things i will take forever to list out.to the WoW gang: cake, jon, xh was really fun playing wow lol. i hope wotlk won't get me addicted again.to the cats: lololcat(nigel), ncccat(xh), maximilicat(max), simcat(sim), hwacat(hwa) DOTA. DOTA. DOTA until it almost become a ritual whenever i see a mass convo involving any 3 of u. haha. win dota = easy A lvl paper. SO TRUE.to the usual ppl: i actually wanted to write a paragraph for each person, but i realised that i had too much to write, and there's already too much written already. so just wait. but you guys are the best. like seriously, mug together, play together, spend forever thinking of what to eat or what movie to watch!so to 2t18 - I THANK YOU FROM THE DEPTHS OF MY HEART. so here's to spending even more time with each other - let our bonds of friendship never be broken(i sound so corny).lastly, i have to thank God for guiding me through these trying times - i have never prayed so much or relied so much on prayer to calm my heart, especially when i'm trying to sleep before an exam. I will glory in my Redeemer, who carries me on eagles' wings.with all the thanks done, i shall move on to other things. so i've got about 2 months of holidays - some of us have less, some have more - i'm thinking of looking for a job, anyone got any recommendations? can earn some money to spend too - my savings gonna get depleted nahaha. let's see play LAN, watch movies, sentosa, food food food...so this post is getting TOO LONG. and i shall end off, this may be the end of A levels, the end of our schooling - and the end of being a minor. we are now fully fledged adults, cannot get away with all the things as a child anymore. it's a new beginning, another chapter of our lives, and we're no longer constrained by what to write - if the last 18 years was a guided essay, it's now an empty parchment - how we want to live our lives, it's up to us.the world is our stage - let's give them a show to remember!
